<p>Daniel Hennig is an accounting and finance professional with over fifteen years of experience, including two years in public accounting (audit, CAS) and thirteen years in various corporate accounting roles where his most recent role was Controller of a global nonprofit.</p> <p>He has an extensive background in full-cycle accounting, audit and form 990 reporting, budgeting, and ERP systems, specifically Sage Intacct, with which he has over 10 years of experience as an end-user, system administrator, and is a Certified Sage Intacct Accounting Specialist. He has gone through multiple Sage Intacct implementations as Project Lead and also has experience with a wide variety of financial applications including: Concur, Salesforce, Martus, SIP, Expensify, Ramp, BILL, ADP, Paychex, Bamboo HR, Procurify, Paylocity, Floqast, and Numeric.</p> <p>Originally from Connecticut, he has an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Southern Connecticut State University and obtained a Forensic Accounting Certificate from New York University. As an accountant and QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Jake has supported clients with a range of responsibilities including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, monthly close, reconciliations, and tax filings. He has worked with multi-entity businesses and investment-backed ventures, helping them manage intercompany activity, be audit-ready, and maintain clean financials under tight deadlines. Jake takes a systems-first approach to financial operations, ensuring bookkeeping is accurate and usable before layering in reporting that supports strategic planning.
