George Jorgoni brings deep financial due diligence expertise to our Fractional CFO team, advising both acquirers and the C-suite on M&A transactions. As a Fractional and Interim CFO, George has helped companies establish PE-grade financial infrastructure and controls, implement scalable reporting systems, and develop strategic roadmaps for organizational growth. With 18+ years of experience, including 10+ years in M&A across advisory and in-house roles, he has led diligence on hundreds of transactions, spanning VC-backed startups, corporate carve-outs, and publicly traded companies. He has worked with 50+ leading Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies, helping investment teams navigate complex carve-outs, growth-stage investments, and strategic acquisitions.

George specializes in Quality of Earnings and hands-on financial due diligence, combining deep advisory expertise, tech-enhanced processes, and operational experience to deliver actionable insights.

Previously, George advised startup CEOs as a Fractional CFO under Leveraged Hub, supporting financial reporting, board reporting, technical accounting guidance, capital raising, M&A strategy, due diligence, and negotiations.

Before that, he led Corporate M&A Due Diligence and Integration at Branded, a VC-backed e-commerce acquirer and operator. At Branded, he developed an in-house financial due diligence process, reducing deal closure time by ~50% (to under 30 days). He owned the cross-functional acquisition diligence process, averaging 2 deals per month, and evaluated investments as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.

Prior to Branded, George was a VP & Director at Duff & Phelps (now Kroll), advising on buy-side and sell-side domestic and cross-border M&A. He led financial due diligence across various industries, including consumer & retail, manufacturing & distribution, business services, technology & media, financial services, healthcare, and real estate. His earlier background spans corporate finance, public accounting (audit & tax), and FP&A.

Beyond his advisory work George is passionate about AI, automation, and data analytics. He is also the Founder of DealCore, an M&A diligence software platform streamlining financial and commercial due diligence in the private markets.

His academic background includes an MBA from ESADE Business School, an MS in Accountancy from Baruch College, and a BS in Computer Information Systems from SCSU. George is a licensed CPA (active), Chartered Global Management Accountant (inactive), and former FINRA Series 63 & 79 Investment Banking representative (inactive).
